ACCESSIBILITY FEATURES:
Defined access keys: Access keys allow you to quickly access menu options by pressing a combination of keys in place of the arrow keys or your mouse to move through menus. The access keys used on this site are listed below:

For IE, press (and then hold) the 'Alt' key with the access key you want, then press Enter. For Firefox 1.0 to 1.5, press (and hold) the 'Alt' key with the access key you want - for version 2 and higher, press Alt-Shift.
Text size:
You can increase the size of the text on our web pages by reconfiguring your web browser. For IE, select 'View' in your browser menu, then 'select text size/larger' or 'zoom in'. For Mozilla, select 'View' in your browser menu, then 'select zoom in/out'.
Colour:
PC users can override website colour and font page styles by modifying browser settings, as follows: For IE, select 'Tools' in your browser menu, then select 'Internet Options', and then click Accessibility. This gives a page of menu options from which you can tick a box to ignore the predefined page style, and select your own colours and fonts. Macintosh users - can override website colour and font page styles by modifying browser setting. With Internet Explorer, from the top menu bar, select Preferences. Within the Web Browser section, select Web content and uncheck the Show style sheets tick box. Select Language/fonts and choose the preferred text size from the font options..
Images:
All relevant images have alt tag descriptions explaining what the image is about. This description will be read out by screen readers, and is displayed if you hover your cursor over the image.
External links:
All links to external websites open up a new browser window. To return to the NCCMH's website after following an external link, you need to close the new browser window.
Navigating without a
mouse:
You may use the 'arrow' keys to scroll up and down a page.

You may also use the 'tab' key to move from one link to the next, in sequence, then press the 'return' or 'enter' key to select a link.

You may use the 'backspace' key to go back to the previous page.

Many of our files are available as PDF (Portable Document Format) files. If your computer does not have software to open PDF files, you can download the reader here.
